THE STAATSKAPELLE BERLIN WITH JAKUB HRŮŠA
The festival’s special guest on 17 November is to be one of the oldest orchestral ensembles in the world, the Staatskapelle Berlin, which will be appearing not merely as part of the production of The Makropulos Affair, but also at a separate concert under the baton Jakub Hrůša.︎
You will find a Czech footprint in the programme in the form of the outstanding pianist Jan Bartoš, who will be playing the solo part in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major.
