A record audience of 16,603 + 50 productions + 24 festival days + lots of accompanying events + 1 city + countless pleasant meetings and musical experiences = 1 Janáček Brno 2024 Festival!
This year, the festival broke down borders not just musically, but also in terms of statistics!
Thanks to the great attendance, we welcomed an audience 52.2 % larger than in 2022.
Receipts increased by 92.6 % compared to the last festival.
You filled theatre capacity to an incredible 91 %.
The important thing are not just the record numbers, however, but the amazing atmosphere that lasted throughout the entire festival! And we owe it all to you!
We would like to thank all the artists and ensembles, all the organisations involved, the dramaturgical board, the organisational team, all our collaborators and partners – and above all, you, the audience.
And it’s not quite over yet! We still have our festival “echoes” to come, which are to take place on 3 and 4 December – we look forward to meeting you again at the production of the opera The Excursions of Mr. Brouček by National Theatre Brno’s Janáček Opera.
